About Me.

My name is Paula Mallinson-Roberts. I have been in the caring professions since 1983. My background was initially in general and psychiatric nursing.

I spent five years as a Senior Staff Nurse on a secure forensic unit for young males with a dual diagnosis of Learning Difficulties and Mental Illness. In this time I also became involved in facilitating a 2 year
rehabilitation program for sexual offenders.


More recently I have worked at Director Level in a private child care organisation. The young people presented with a range of significant behavioural problems due to traumatic events in early life.

I have undertaken six years of training in Transactional Analysis and have been providing counselling and psychotherapy since 2004, specialising in working with young people and their carers.

I have a practise in Armathwaite, Carlisle working with a colleague using Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. I also have an adult practise at the Brunswick Clinic in Penrith.
